Payment Terms & Conditions

Northern Frontiers  – Payment Terms and Conditions

By making payment for a service provided by Northern Frontiers Pty Ltd it is assumed that you accept and agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.  If you have any questions please contact Reception directly on 0419 531 269 or email reception@northernfrontiers.com.au prior to confirming and making payment for your booking.

If making payment via credit (including American Express) or debit card Northern Frontiers Pty Ltd does not charge a surcharge or fee, however, please check with your financial institution for any that they may charge.

All amounts quoted for the provision of Northern Frontiers Pty Ltd’s services are stated inclusive of 10% Goods and Services Tax as per Australian law.

Northern Frontiers Pty Ltd will provide a payment receipt only upon request.  Clients can request a payment receipt once the service has been paid and provided, not prior.

Individual & Relationship Counselling Services

Pre-payment for all booked sessions is required at least two (2) business days prior to the booked session.  If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time a refund is not provided, however, the booking can be rescheduled (once) or a credit with three (3) months validity may be provided.  If you are not able to make your scheduled appointment please advise Northern Frontiers Pty Ltd Reception as soon as possible on 0419 531 269 or email reception@northernfrontiers.com.au

A joint Relationship Counselling session is only confirmed, even if prepayment is made, once both Intake & Assessment phone call sessions have been completed, and the Counsellor advises it is appropriate to continue.  If payment has been made for a joint session, but the Counsellor advises it is not appropriate to continue a refund of $145.00 will be provided, or a credit can be created with 6 months validity.

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services

Northern Frontiers Pty Ltd has a number of direct EAP arrangements with organisations, schools, charities, businesses and other entities.  If your employer has engaged Northern Frontiers Pty Ltd to provide an Employee Assistance Programme simply call 1300 90 81 70 and advise your full name and employer’s name to book a session.  We will then check the staff list we have been provided by your employer (due to our strict confidentiality requirements we do not advise your employer that you are making a booking).  If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time the session cost is still charged to your employer (but your name is not provided), and you will have one less EAP session in your allotment.  If you are not able to make your scheduled appointment please advise Northern Frontiers Reception as soon as possible on 0419 531 269 or email reception@northernfrontiers.com.au

 

Miscellaneous

Confidentiality – Neither the Client nor Northern Frontiers Pty Ltd shall disclose to third parties or use for any purpose (other than providing or benefiting from the Services) any information provided by the other unless required by law or the information is already available to the public, or the other consents to the disclosure.

Family Dispute Resolution/Family Law Mediation/Workplace Mediation services

The Intake & Assessment sessions do not go for a set time, which is why we request parties to allow “up to 60 minutes”.  Each matter is different so it is not possible to provide a set time.  The cost of the Intake & Assessment session also includes the issue of a s60I certificate when appropriate.  No refund is provided for sessions that go for less than 60 minutes.

If you have booked a joint mediation session as part of the Family Dispute Resolution process, funds are not refunded for any time that is not used during a joint mediation session, for whatever reason.  It is at the sole discretion of the Mediator credit with three (3) months validity may be provided.  Joint mediation session are quoted as “up to two (2) hours” or “up to three (3) hours” and if time is not used during this scheduled session a refund or credit is not provided.  Pricing for mediation services includes not only the scheduled session time, but also the administration and client management services provided through the process, including initial enquiry processing.

Mediation pricing includes the preparation of a Record of Parenting Agreement when required.  If any booked session is cancelled, for whatever reason, within 48 hours of the session time a refund is not provided but the booking can be moved (once), or a credit offered.

The cost of issuing a s60I certificate is included in the cost of Intake & Assessment sessions.  s60I certificates are issued at the complete discretion of the Mediator.

Opening Hours

Mon-Fri: 7.30 am – 5:00 pm, by appointment only.  Limited face-to-face sessions available during the week.  Phone and videochat (MS Teams, Skype, Zoom etc) available each weekday. Last-minute sessions are sometimes available for urgent matters.

Please note:  To ensure client confidentiality all bookings are strictly by appointment only therefore we do not accept walk-ins or unannounced requests for service, including for new enquiries.
