Individual, private and affordable Anger Management Program Penrith

Anger Management Program Penrith

Question: How will I know I may have a problem with Anger?

If someone close to you expresses concern about your behaviour or, worse still, your partner threatens to leave the next time you ‘lose it’… If your job is on the line because you’ve ‘gone off’ once too often…If you’ve been charged with an anger-related offence and are facing court, chances are you could do with help in managing your behaviour when under the influence of a powerful emotion such as Anger. ACT NOW to protect those you care about and yourself…

Question: I don’t think I’m an angry person…

You may not see yourself that way, but if others do, you have a problem. Although Anger is a normal human emotion that we all experience from time to time, most of us are never taught how to manage our behaviour safely when under its powerful influence. Just because you become angry, doesn’t necessarily make you a bad person – it just makes you human. Trouble is, if you’re ‘losing it’ a little too often and scaring people, your behaviour could be preventing you from achieving your life goals.

Question: ‘Been charged or have a Protection Order?

ACT NOW!  By completing the Anger Management Program Penrith you’re letting the Court know you’ve taken responsibility for your actions and are making changes.  Once completed, you’ll receive a Letter of Completion to present to the Court.  Discuss with your lawyer how completing an Anger Management Program may assist your situation.

Question: Will the program help with a Family Law matter?

Has your Anger-related behaviour harmed your relationship, prevented you from parenting or left you facing legal consequences? ACT NOW! Feeling overwhelmed, angry and frustrated comes with the parenting territory. It helps if you can remain calm, respond instead of reacting and model appropriate emotional self-regulation for your children and their other parent.

Question: How much does the Anger Management Program cost?

The cost of each 50min session is $220, and upon request we can prepare a Letter of Completion for your lawyer/Court (cost is $150).  The total cost of the Anger Management Program is $880.00 or $1030 if you require the Letter of Completion.  If you make full prepayment, you’ll receive a 5% discount (total cost then becomes $836.00 or $978.50 if you require a Letter of Completion).  Otherwise, feel free to pre-pay each session as you go.

Question: What if I am on an NDIS support plan?

We are a private fee-for-service counselling services provider. The Anger Management Program Penrith focuses on strategies for managing anger-provoking situations assertively to achieve safer outcomes for self, others and relationships. The program incorporates calming techniques including deep breathing for relaxation, self-talk and time out. The program facilitator holds a Bachelor of Social Science and is an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with 25+ years individual counselling experience and full Resolution Institute membership. Northern Frontiers Counselling & Mediation holds insurance as appropriate for the services we provide to the general public. Clients are welcome to utilise their NDIS support funds to access the Anger Management Program and are advised to check their eligibility to select a provider that is not registered specifically for the NDIS. Question: Why do people think I’m an angry person?

Most likely you’re coming across as aggressive or scary in some way. Perhaps you’re raising your voice or swearing and waving your arms around. Or you may be cutting people off mid-sentence and talking over them….it may not be intentional, but if people say they see you as ‘an angry person’ you might want to learn why that’s happening…

Question: Will this program help with my relationship?

Relationships are not always rosy.  You may love your partner deeply, but there will be times when you become frustrated or angry at them, or at something happening outside the relationship.  How you choose to behave and express Anger will either enhance or destroy the trust in your relationship. Loss of trust slowly weakens your connection, and if it happens often enough, it finally breaks beyond repair. Trying to supress Anger only makes it worse. The Anger Management Program teaches you how and when to express your emotions without damaging your relationship. You will learn to be ‘true to yourself’ and ask for what you need whilst still being honest with your partner about the cause of your Anger. Sharing your inner most feelings and needs with your partner is a bonding experience…it strengthens your connection, even though it may feel uncomfortable at the time.

Question: Can I refer my client, partner, family member or friend?

Absolutely.  We often receive referrals from family members, concerned friends, criminal or family law lawyers, barristers and employers.  We’re happy to provide information about the Anger Management Program so you can encourage the person to contact us directly.  Discuss with us today any concerns or questions you may have about making a referral.  It is a much easier process than you might think, as long as the person wants to participate in the program.

Question: What if my relationship has ended?

If you’ve separated from your partner and need help with parenting or property and financial matters, we can assist.  Click here for information about our Parenting Mediation and Property Mediation services.  We also offer a Parenting Proposal Preparation Service and Property/Financial Settlement Proposal Preparation Service if you’ve separated and need help writing a parenting or property settlement proposal that you can present to your ex-partner.
